Backend Intern Location Singapore Role Overview We are looking for a Backend Intern to join our engineering team in Singapore. You will help build and maintain backend services using Golang, collaborate with engineers on scalable systems, and gain hands-on experience in production software development. Responsibilities Develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs using Golang. Collaborate with engineering, product, and design teams to deliver reliable features. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. Assist with debugging, performance tuning, and service reliability improvements. Participate in code reviews and engineering discussions. Requirements Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Experience with Golang or strong interest in learning and writing Golang. Understanding of backend fundamentals such as APIs, databases, networking, and distributed systems basics. Familiarity with Git and software development workflows. Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn. Nice to Have Experience building REST or gRPC services. Familiarity with SQL or NoSQL databases. Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, or CI/CD pipelines. Prior internship, project, or open-source experience involving backend systems.
